What is Double Standard?

According to Collins English Dictionary, DOUBLE STANDARD is a noun that means a set of principles that allows greater freedom to one person or group than to another.

However, according to the new found "genius" Professor M, DOUBLE STANDARD is a noun that means a set of principles may change according to Professor M's preference at anytime OR a set of principles may change at the occurrence of BEER.

Well, last night Professor M called for a dinner among his buddies, and I was invited too (MAYBE BECAUSE his buddies are attending the dinner with their wives too). Well, I appreciated it and I enjoyed the dinner while catching up with buddies' wives. As usual, with Professor M around; BEER is something that cannot be omitted, especially BEER is one of the important element for their buddies' gathering. It doesn't disturb me at all, I think Professor M deserves the pleasure as long as we are home on time to take care of our two pretties. However, Professor M was totally drowned in his BEERFEST that he had decided to continue a drinking session with his buddies somewhere else. 

I WAS VERY DISCONTENTED! UNHAPPY! DISPLEASED! ANGRY! 

Every now and then, he was inflicting fear into me that my current home is a unsafe to stay in, especially after an incident of  break-in last few months ago. Well, everybody was safe and the thief did not manage to take anytime as my sis shouted when she saw him walking up the stair. Anyway, at that time we didn't arm our malfunction alarm and many of the locks were broken. We didn't take it seriously before the incident because there is police patrolling at our lane frequently. But then, all the BROKEN and MALFUNCTIONS have been rectified immediately after the incident. 

He was saying that this house is not safe, especially when all the men are not around. He is being very careful and he actually does all the routine check every night @11pm to ensure that all windows and doors are locked, alarm is armed accordingly, outdoor lights are switched on. To be honest, even though hubby is very naggy; I am thankful that I have such a careful hubby to carry out the very detailed work to safeguard us from harms.  

But STUPID, he knows that my parents were not at home last night and I had reiterated many times to him that noone is at home IF there is anything happen. But at the end, he decided to continue to drown himself in the pleasure of BEER and BUDDIES, and totally forget about us - two adorable children and a pretty wife.

When Professor M's "Double Standard" applies, it means

- When he goes out for BEER until late --> the house is absolutely safe without him! The thief will not choose the day that he goes out for BEER to attack us! The thief will wait for him to come back then only invade us. 

- When he is at home --> the house is absolutely unsafe even if safety precaution has be taken i.e. all doors and window properly locked, alarm armed, baseball bat in the room, mobile in the room and etc etc. With all these, he still feel unsafe, and keep on complaining to me about the same issue again and again.

I CAN ONLY CONCLUDE ONE THING, PROFESSOR M IS FULL OF BULLSHIT!
