My Little C's Birthday!

Little C's Birthday is a few days away from MaMa's. So, the next post after "MaMa's birthday" is always about "Little C's Birthday". I did not want a Grand Party, instead I would prefer a small group gathering for the children to mingle and play. So, I arranged a 3-ring pool, sand arts, bicycles, slides, Bubbles Guns, Balloons, Tea Place for the children to have some fun on this Saturday!

Yeah, I am kind of a fail event planner. I didn't get the theme right? I wanted to have a THEME gathering which was supposed to be "HELLO KITTY" but due to LACK OF experience and LACK OF time for proper preparation, i somehow grabbed whatever I could from the Party Shop. Too bad, there were not a single items sold were in HELLO KITTY. Many ideas starting to flow in my mind, BUT it was too late to change the theme to an easier theme - PRINCESS THEME because I had ordered a HELLO KITTY CAKE. Hahaha... I ended up just made do with what I had and ta da...that's it! Simple and Themeless.

This is the set up that I prepared for the kids. Pool right in the middle, we have Sand Art Station and Snacks on the right, Bubble guns and bicycle on the left.
Children starting to dip, luckily, it was a good weather for a dip. Not scorching hot but with good amount of sunshine. No rain but with good shades of cloud. What a perfect day for a perfect mini gathering!

My Snack Station! Juice, Soft Drink, Candies, Macaroons, Cakes, Tarts, Eclairs, Suasages, Fruits, Raisins & Nuts..decorated with Pink & Blue Balloons and Princesses Banner. Hahahaha....

Our Little guests in the house.

After a dip, the girls changed into sun dress, and have a drink and snack in a good shaded rest place.

Dinner Time! (a.k.a Mommies' chaos time!)
Macaronis prepared by Grandma, Pork Chop, Cauliflower Soup, Potato Salad. Yum Yum!

Cake Cutting Time. This is the "HELLO KITTY" cake specially requested by
Little C! She insisted on a Hello Kitty Cake and she insisted that it must be a tall cake. So, I ordered a 3-tier Hello Kitty Jelly Cake. YUMMY!
Well, A is a baby friend to Cs. They play together since they were babies, so they are basically three sisters. As for Little A Boy, Little H and Little J, they are still trying to get close, but my girls are still too shy sometimes. Don't worry, I will organize more of this little gathering, you guys will get to know each other SOON! and mommies shall have our own times chatting away while you little ones play among yourself. Hooray!

A friend who took this photo said - this is a FOUR GENERATION photo! Yes, indeed. Great GrandMa, GrandMa, MaMa + Ah Yi and Cs.
A great Family Photo! Thank you, YOU!

Baby, This is for you!

Little C was exhilarated to see the Big Giant Hello Kitty when Ah Gu and Mel Jie Jie handed it to her. Little tossed the Hello Kitty up and down and then danced with her to the front and then to the back again, while humming her favourite songs...

Time to Say Goodbye to our little friends.
Little C was super Shy on that day, and she was talking with a frequency of a bird and noone could hear her well. Anyway, thank you all uncles and aunties for bringing our little friends here for a great gathering.
Hope to have another great gathering again!

Happy Birthday, my darling Little C!

MaMa's Birthday

Life is always fair, somehow when you lose something, you gain something back, this is the equilibrium of life, we shall not be despair when obstacles fall upon you. One door closes, I am sure there will be another door opens, waiting for your GRAND ENTRANCE.

Here's my little humble door that always await my admission, it's a FREE admission that filled with infinite loves... Mmmmm so heavenly blessed.

On my bliss out 34th Birthday, I received many many wishes from my dear friends via whatsapp! I received a silly birthday song from my bff via whatsapp too. I received birthday kisses from my beautiful Cs, mom, sis, bro. I even received a text from my dad which was kind of unusual because I had never received any birthday wish from him since ages ago. Anyway, HAPPY!

I received a birthday card as precious as a gem from my beautiful daughters.

My first Birthday Cake arranged by the Company.

Then I received a Giant Handmade Hello Kitty Birthday Card from my Marketing Babies. They are the BEST! :P They must be thinking I am obsessed with Hello Kitty so they decided to make me a Hello Kitty Card. Lovely! I love Hello Kitty because of my children not because I am OBSESSED! LoL!

My Second Birthday Cake arranged by my beloved Family. They even brought me to a nice Japanese Restaurant for a scrumptious meal. I am happy that everyone enjoyed the food and as well as the beautiful and yummy Red Velvet Cake. Big C plucked out all the hearts and ate them all!!!!!!! She absolutely adores the red hearts on the cake.

Yes, This is my sister and my babies. Hahaha...NO NO NO. She's my darling Mommy! I know, I know! Everyone says the same thing to me since I was little, "Hey, No way! She's not your mom, she's your sister. You must be joking! She looks too young to be your mom." Hate it! But I am happy for you, MOMMY, always young and pretty! Energetic and Strong one too. :)

My best gifts in my life are my two beautiful daughters. Nothing can replace the special delivery from GOD to me. Thank God, I love being me! Don't believe me? Check the next photo, then you will know how much love and joy has God brought to me. I appreciate it and I will treasure all the moments with my best gifts ever! Muaks & Hugs!

See! Told you! How can I not spill my melting hearts with a smile by looking at them, happily enjoying every moments together as a happy family.

My third Birthday Cake (3 Little Cutie Cupcakes) by my BFF, Wendy! Too bad, my notti C deleted the very memorable photo of me and Wendy! *sigh* So, I left with the three little cutie cupcakes as a remembrance.

Of course, other than all the above, I had also received flowers and shawl from my ILs. They are the nicest ILs ever because they always always remember my birthday and is like there is a standing order to the florist for years, a beautiful bouquet will always appear in my office on that day every year, calling upon me to receive the special delivery. Thank you! Thank you for everything.

I also received a hand cream from my beloved sister. She knows that I am desperately in need of a good hand cream!! Thank you.

I also received a SUPER RED T-shirt from my beloved little brother. He's always so dear and supportive, no matter what, remember, we are always ONE FAMILY, TIGHT BOND and NOTHING SHALL BREAK US APART!

Material is always secondary, it is the well wishes that i was drowned with, filled with love and joy. What emore can I ask for on my Birthday.

In fact, after being a MaMa myself, I somehow see BIRTHDAY differently. We shouldn't celebrate birthday for ourself on our birthday, we should be having a thanksgiving day for our mom. It should be a very very special day for mommy's great effort, going through painful labour, and exerting our greatest Mommy's power to give body strength and powerful mind to bring a new beautiful life to the world of happiness. Don't you agree?

Mommy, I hope is not too late. Thank you for bringing me here. Thank you for your loves, your support, your strength, your sacrifices for us. Thank you and We love you! Cs love you too, and you know it well. Don't you? GrandMa here GrandMa there all the times, isn't it? :P

Happy Birthday to Me and Thank you Mommy.

Would you?

Suddenly....MaMa has these thoughts..

Babies,

When I am old, would you bring MaMa to have breakfast just like how I bring you girls for breakfast everyday?

When I am old, would you hold my hand in the shopping mall just like how I love to hold you girls' hand?

When I am old, would you come and visit me with your children?

Haha...silly me.

Baking Fun - Basic Butter Rolls

It's a boring and moody Sunday after Cs' Ballet class.
MaMa got to find something to do to fill up the emptiness. :)
So it is the Baking Fun @ Home - Basic Butter Roll.
Easy to make, soft and fluffy the next day too.
Sorry, I wanted to give credit to the superb blogger on the superb recipe but I do not have my Ipad with me, and tried to google but did not manage to find the same page again. (Thanks to ___ for her recipe! To be filled later!)

The girls love it. Cs had 3 each! Big C told MaMa that she wants it with Jam and Cheese and Little C said No No No, I don't want Jam or Cheese, I just want the Bread. It's such a joy to see my Cs enjoyed my effort so much. They encourage  me to practice more and bake more. Love you girls. Muaks!!!!

Butter Rolls with Jam on the left and Cs' Lazy Bento on the right.
It's good, but I would like it with more fragrance from the butter.
Should try if I can work with more Butter for a RICH-BUTTER roll.

Cs' First Movie Experience

Dear babies, you really need to thank Aunty Wendy to give MaMa the courage to actually bring you girls into the Cinema. Also, big thank to GrandMa and Ah Gu being absolutely supportive of the idea and there you are, in the Cinema watching your first movie while munching overly-sweet caramel popcorns (and you girls also messed up the cinema with all your popcorns).

MaMa wanted to bring you girls for movie long long ago, but MaMa thought Little C was a little too young then. At the time, Big C is 5 and Little C is 3, you both are in perfect age to so anything with MaMa. (*The word "anything" must be labelled with MaMa's "Approved", otherwise "anything" does not constitute to anything. Confused?! You girl will get it ONE DAY!)

The "Now Showing list" at that time was Planes & Smurf 2. We (Ah Gu and MaMa) preferred Smurf because Smurf is our childhood friend, at least something/someone FAMILIAR. Too bad, it was out of tickets, and the only choice left was "Planes". It's an animated movie, it's meant for children, it's not bad. That's MaMa's review after watching it. Perhaps I was too distracted by the girls' blinking shoes and the messing up actions in the cinema.

Anyway, I am glad that the girls finished the movie (not-so-quiet-quietly), and went home with a GREAT BIG HAPPY SMILE! Big C, the ever-scared-of-everything girl told MaMa that she wants another movie again!!! **hehehe...she was so afraid to step into the cinema when we first arrived, her hand gripped on my palm, turning her head left and right, looking up and down with her eyes, and said "MaMa, why the cinema so Dark Dark?" "MaMa, the movie is inside or outside?" -- hahaha..she was trying asked if the actions were inside the SCREEN or outside SCREEN. Perhaps she was terrified once with the Magic show and she refused to enter into an auditorium. Maybe? Baby Big C, if you are reading it later, if MaMa's next to you, Please tell MaMa what were you thinking, why were you always afraid?

As for Little C, she is as calm as usual. No sign of fear, no complains. The only fight during the movie was due to POPCORN! Everyone wanted to HOLD the POPCORN BOX! Next time, I should just buy TWO small popcorns. :)

Did the girls enjoy the movie? Hmm... MaMa would say the girls enjoyed the popcorns more. Ah Gu was relieved after the Movie because he was expecting crying scene from the girls. *Phew* Ah Gu told MaMa that if the girls cried, please don't tell anyone that he's with us! Hahaha....

The plane is about a Crophopper's determination to fly like racing jet, and how it overcome his fear of height and about his encounter during the competition. Good Spirit! Good Value! Boys would love the Movie, I think!

My Mini Tigress' Act

There was a mini act by MaMa and Little C at home last night. Main cast was played by my Little C, but she was a silent cast. MaMa played the supporting role as a "ferocious" mom.

The scene was set at home at the study area. Let me give you a rundown before the actual act. It's the season of school term break now, so MaMa usually would arrange some workbooks or colorings for the girls while MaMa is at work. So MaMa did! MaMa gave Big C a Minnie Mouse Coloring Sheet and Little C a Daisy Duck Coloring Sheet. I told Novi to let the girls explore with crayons, color pencils and water colors. Let them utilize these colors as their wish since they have been very well-behaved for the past few coloring sessions with MaMa.

Act 1 : Destruction Discovery

MaMa is home from work in the evening, and ready for a home learning session with the girls. Novi was standing at a corner trying to arrange "something" so MaMa walked forwards to check out what was going on.

MaMa saw Novi was trying to assemble all the broken pieces of crayon and some empty crayon twister holders. MaMa was stumbled across these broken pieces of crayons of which MaMa tried to preserve NICELY for more than a year or so.

MaMa's face turned RED and yelled really loud instintively, "What happened to my crayons?"

Novi showed me more of the small little fragmented crayons in the dustbin. Oh, my poor crayons are being ill-treated and wasted!

It was an intentionally misbehaving madden a kind/trustful mother scene by Little C

Act 2 : The Crying Act

Little C cried out of guiltiness (I am not sure about that, depends on what the actor trying to express, how the audience interpret it. But I would like to perceive it as a cry of guilt. It could be "Oh, I cry because MaMa's angry! I'm scared!")

Act 3 : The Act of lecturing and punishment

Little C admitted it was her ill-doing on the broken pieces of crayons. I started to lecture her on how I trusted her being a good girl to keep all the belongings tidy, neat, clean and undamaged. Told her how sad I was to see all the damaged and wasted crayons. Little C kept on crying and MaMa kept on lecturing, as I raised my voice, little C's crying volume rose simultaneously.

MaMa was VERY VERY VERY angry, chiding at the top of my lung (scolding) for straight 10 minutes while Little C cried (at very loudly) with her head looking down to the floor.

A punishment of ear pulling facing the wooden door was ordered. Little C was sobbing hard until MaMa told her that MaMa would be angrier if she did not stop crying. There and then, Little C completely stopped her crying without a single gasp. Little C served her punishment quietly. Not a single funny action. MaMa kept an eye on her while working on Addition with Big C. At a point where Little C poked her ears instead of pulling her earlobes, I would shout at her again that MaMa wanted a proper ear-pull and this tough little tigress pulled her ears outwards without any complaints, Little C remained silent for the whole 20 minutes.

Act 4 : Final Scene - The Make Up Scene

After 20minutes, MaMa called Little C back from her Notti Corner. As a Mom with a super naggy personality, Little C was being lectured once more with the repetitive content.

"Baby, give MaMa a hug first!" MaMa said, so Little C did.

"What do you need to say to MaMa" MaMa asked Little C

"I love you, MaMa" replied in a voice softer than the voice of blue jay in the garden.

"What? Said it properly! I can't hear you" MaMa commanded

"I love you, MaMa" once again with a louder voice, raised several decibels up.

"I want Little C to say sorry to MaMa!" MaMa said firmly

"Sorry, MaMa"

"Do you know why you have to say sorry? Do you know who's being naughty here?" MaMa asked

".." Little C nodded her head with her eyes as innocent as the pussy cat in the Shrek.

"Do you know that you made MaMa sad. Do you know that Little C is very very naughty. Why did you break the crayons into pieces and why did you throw them in the dustbin. Are these crayons rubbish? Do you know MaMa spend a lot of money to BUY you all these crayons, toys, books and you never know how to take good care of them. MaMa feels so sad when you destroy them, MaMa feels so angry when you throw them away or tear your books into pieces or simply scribble on the books that are meant for reading......." MaMa went on and on and on....for who knows how long....

Eventually, Little C moved towards MaMa, putting all her body weights leaning upon my chest, then KISS.

MaMa made Little C promised to take care all her belongings including books, toys, stationeries, NOT to damage, destroy and waste them.

"Repeat after me!" MaMa ordered "I promise not to destroy my belongings and I will take good care of them."

"I promise not to destroy my belongings and I will take good care of them"

MaMa demanded another hugs and kisses, and the make up hug lasted for good 3 minutes. MaMa squeezed Little C tight, and whispered "MaMa loves you, Baby"

THE END!

What surprises me the most was when MaMa told Little C to stop crying, and she did it instantly. Little C also accepted the punishment without any reluctance, and she did not push her misbehaviour to her JieJie (which she used to). Little C remained calm during the punishment and was not distracted at all while I was talking to her JieJie less than few meters away from her Notti Corner. Little C was solemn and quiet throughout the punishment, but she could turn her emotion around in the speed of lightning. Especially when MaMa told her that "MaMa loves you, Baby", Little C rejoiced and went to grab her pencil and book waiting for the learning session to commence together with MaMa. She did not cry, did not blame, did not resent, did not complain. The whole scene was completely switched to a happy mother-daughters bonding scene.

Oh, Baby, Naughty, Yet Tough (Hope there will not be any substance for "stubbornness" :P)

ByeBye, our SOLEmates

Our Dearest Solefriends,

You have rendered your best service in providing us comfort & protection. Your accompaniments have been wonderful and never fail to make us consistently in vogue as fashionable children. We love you all so much, but it's time to say GoodBye.

With loves,
Big C & Little C

It doesn't really feel right to have so much emotion attached to shoes, hope it's not too weird. MaMa is trying my best, whenever I can, to let you girls have a keepsake of your solemates and every other little tiny matters. Maybe one day, you girls should try to recall which were your favourites when you were 1-3 years old.
