Baby Clarisse's first meal

I had actually tried feeding Baby Clarisse three times of Plain Porridge, and she is a very clever girl because she didn't push the porridge out of her tongue. She enjoyed eating it and she even cried for more after a few spoons.

Then, yesterday I also tried feeding her Organic Baby Cereal. She loves it so much.

From today onwards, I have instructed Novi to cook plain porridge for Baby Clarisse every day. Feed her once a day in the evening, in between 5.30 - 6.30pm.

Two weeks later, I will add in some carrots into her porridge. :P

SO FAST!!!! My baby is eating semi-solid already! :)

I have actually taken some photos of her first solid meals with Papa's Camera. I shall upload it soon.

Drag....Delay....Another Day

*Sigh* I know it sounds very stupid for me to continuing pumping today even though it is already not enough. I told myself on friday that "NO MORE PUMPING" but I ended up pumping on Saturday, Sunday & Today. It is so addictive...or rather Mama is very stubborn!!!

Saturday -
I told myself..hiyah, it will be the very last time la. I will just bf Baby Clarisse and forget about the pumping.

Sunday -
Hiyah.. (again) ..One last time la....one more feed la.

Today -
Don't know why, I picked up the Breast Pump and carried it with me to the office, and then automatically go to the pantry and start pumping again at the usual time.

Mama is crazy. I know it is not enough but just don't want to let go totally. Arghhh.....Stubborn!!!!!

Almost time to end my BF bond with Baby Clarisse

Baby Clarisse will be 6 months old by the end of the week. My BF plan is actually 6 months. But, I am starting to worry on how we can cope with Baby Clarisse in the night if we have to end the BF. Anyway, at this moment, it is no longer a matter of choice.

My body seems to know that "TIME'S UP" or maybe I had unknowingly entered the "DUE DATE" into my brain stating that my bf is only 6 months. It was sad that after pumping closed to 35mins, I only managed to collect totally of 4 1/2 oz (NOT EVEN ONE FULL FEED). Geezz.. It is very difficult to accept the fact that I have to end this very special bond with my baby. Today, I tried pumping again, the same amount yield. It is definitely is not enough for a feed. Anyway, in this case, there is no point for me pump anymore. I know, this milk is not going to come back anymore and they are gradually reducing day by day. I can feel it from my two "breast friends".

Last night, Baby Clarisse cried in the night as usual. I know that Baby Clarisse is no longer crying for hunger in the night. She can manage to sleep through the night without any feed. BUT, she sometimes wakes up in the night crying for Mama. Last night, I tried not to breastfeed her and tried to replace it with pacifier. She cried even louder and demonstrated her unhappily fiercefully. I was panic and after 5 mins struggling on the pacifier, I ended up offering her my breast friends, and in less than 5mins of sucking, Baby Clarisse dozed off. Zzzzzzzz

HOW ??????????????????????????

KLCC Aquaria Day

Last Sunday, Papa & Mama brought Chloe & Clarisse to KLCC Aquaria for a Magnificent Ocean Walk. Upon arrival, Papa found out that the fees for an adult is RM 35.00/pax. We were both shocked that the entrance fees is so expensive (luckily children below 3yrs are free), but papa "happily" spent RM70.00 for our family to enter the World of Ocean.

Chloe was very excited when we told her that we are bringing her to "see" fish. Unfortunately, Baby Clarisse is too young to understand. BUT, I do not want to leave Baby Clarisse at home with maid. I want four of us to have an outing as a family. Anyway, Aquaria is a clean & cooling place, Baby Clarisse were sleeping comfortably in her stroller most of the time until the "journey" of the Ocean - where the conveyor brings us to adventure of the livings in Ocean. There are Baby Sharks, Stingrays, Turtles and others. Why I said others and not able to name all the fishes and living creatures they presented? There is LIMITED GUIDANCE and LACK OF INFORMATION provided to visitors. Gosh...... This is so important but the Aquaria is not providing. We are there to learn and get to know more about the Ocean Livings BUT there are not enough information. OR maybe the KLCC Aquaria is only meant for ocean lovers/ professionals/ and intelligent people. The next visit, I will make sure I do my research first before I enter again, otherwise how am I suppose to let my daughters know what sorts of fishes ???!!! Geezzzz... That's why ZOO NEGARA is a NO NO to me at the moment.

The Family CNY HK Trip

9th February 2011

We arrived HK @ about 12.30 noon, immediately we collected our baggage, then we rented two taxis headed straight to Hotel Mira @ Tsim Sa Tsui, Kowloon. Just like I had planned earlier on, once we checked in the hotel, we let our girls rest in the hotel until dinner time. We had our dinner at the Mira's YAMM - Buffet style. Approximately HKD450/pax, but they are serving very fresh seafood including lobsters. They are also serving very good quality roast beef and dessert. Unfortunately, with two princesses with me, I did not manage to eat all I wanted. Chloe was crying and insisted me to stay with her in the hotel room. Everyone slept at about 10.30pm except for Papa, not too sure what he did while we were all asleep. :P

10th February 2011

We woke up at 7.30am and Mama dressed up my two pretty girls. Went down to the hotel cafe to have our breakfast which is already included in the hotel package. Again, YAMM did not fail us. They are serving really good breakfast buffet. Variety is limited but quality that counts. After we had our breakfast, we left the hotel at about 9am to Tung Chung Cable Car Station as planned.

Thanks to online booking, we managed to skip the long queue and headed straight to the ticket booth for collection. The queue to the cable car ride was not too bad too, we waited for about 15 mins and all of us hopped into ONE cable car (7 Adults, 2 Babies).  The Cable Car ride was about 28 mins. I must say, Genting Cable Car can never be compared with this Ngong Ping Cable Car. We had very smooth ride and there is no such things as maintenance stop in the middle of the ride. The view was spectacular, we were able to view the giant Buddha at the last 15 minutes of our ride.

The Ngong Ping Village is a small place with some merchandise and restaurants around. Papa Carried all the bags and stroller, Mama took care of Chloe & Novi took care of Clarisse. All of us Up we went 200 over steps to pray before the Giant Buddha. Chloe did a good job because she went up and down the stairs without complaining at all. Clarisse was asleep in the sarong that Novi carried.

Had our meal at the Vegetarian Restaurant @ the Po Lian Monastery. We paid for our Vegetarian meal @ HKD100/pax inclusive of the entrance fees to the Giant Buddha. Yes. It is very expensive! What to do?

After the meal, we returned to the hotel so that our girls can take a bath and rest. At about 7pm, we had our dinner at the Fook Lum Mun @ TST. It is approximately 10 mins walk from our hotel. Food is fantastic but price is slightly at the upside. But then again, this is HONG KONG, and this is the eatery price in HONG KONG.

11th February 2011

All of us were very excited because this day is the DISNEYLAND DAY. I planned to catch the fireworks @ 8pm therefore our schedule were quite free & easy. We woke up late, and we got our girls enough clothing for the cold weather.

We arrived Disneyland at about 2pm. I think Chloe was feeling unwell, that's why she was always asking for someone to carry her. She was excited to see the Mickey Mouse Features at the Entrance and she also requested to have the Train Ride (I almost wanted to curse, the ride only lasted for less than 3 minutes GEEEEZZZZZ!!!). After the ride, all of us had Hot Dogs as our lunch that we bought from the stall (the only comment I can give is COLD & EXPENSIVE). Clarisse was asleep comfortably in her stroller while Chloe was crying much for extra attention from Mama & Papa. We tried to convince her to take at least a ride but she refused. Luckily she refused to take any of the rides (:P The queue was horrendous, and the ride lasted 1 minute ONLY). Anyway, my plan was just to walk around the Disneyland World to let Chloe to have a feel of it, my aim was to view the Parade & Fireworks and of course DISNEYLAND SHOPPING!

All of us were seated on the side of the "Main Street" while waiting for the Parade to begin. Clarisse was also awake as if she knows that Mickey Mouse is "coming" to wave to her. Chloe enjoyed the parade, regretfully to mention again the Parade is too short.

Immediately after the Mickey Mouse Parade, we went straight into to the shop intending to spend! Yeah!  But the crowd just put off our mood, everyone (we know who!) is pushing in and out even I was carrying a Baby with me. In addition, Papa came to me and told me that Chloe's body temperature is high. I was already quite irritated with the crowded shop, with Chloe's condition, I was like an ant in the Pot; we moved out of the shop and decided no shopping and headed straight back to Hotel.

Papa said : I have to be ONE of them so that we can get out of this place. How? PUSH our way out!

Anyway, on our way back to hotel, we told the taxi to drop Mama & Chloe at the nearby Clinic. As I expected, her temperature reached 40 deg C ( I don't understand why her temperature is always so high! It is so worrying!). The doctor recommended to take Influenza Test since she had a little of flu and such high fever. I was already very worried & panic, I didn't think it was swine flu or any sort of flu, she just caught a cold during the parade, but then at that time everything that the doctor said I will just obliged "YES YES YES".

While waiting for the test result, the nurse inserted the Volteran to bring down Chloe's body heat. Chloe is a big girl now, she knows how to complain on what she feel uncomfortable. She kept on complaining that her backside pain pain. :).

Naturally, the test came out NEGATIVE, and the doctor prescribed us Nurofen, Paracetamol, Flu Medicine & Voltaren. In the case of the fever remained at such high temperature, either Nurofen OR Voltaren should be used. Otherwise, I was advise to only give Paracetamol if her fever is below 39 degC.

I was expecting to spend HKD 500 because the Taxi Driver had informed us of the specialist charges in HK. When the bill came, it was HKD 900!!! I was shocked but again WHAT TO DO is the only phrase that I can tell myself. HKD 500 for the consultation & Medication, HKD 400 for the Influenza Test! Geezz...........

Whatever it is, after 1 hour, Chloe's fever subsided. We were suspecting that she did not have proper lunch and thus lack of energy. With the cold weather and the sudden cold breeze, her body was just not strong enough to fight. Papa went to the nearby HK Style Cafe and bought some food for us to eat in the hotel. He bought Fish Porridge for Chloe, and Chloe love it so much. The porridge was hot and it is keeping her warm from the cold. She managed to finish half of the Big Bowl and immediately after the dinner, she became energetic and playful again. *PHEW* Her fever came back a little but it was not high. So, I fed her with Paracetamol once before her sleep.

12th February 2011

We suppose to adjourn for our OCEANPARK fun to see some Dolphin Shows & to visit Panda. But, Chloe had just recovered from the fever, we did not want to have an exhausted day for her. And thus, We ended up in the hotel most of the time, and a short walk along Nathan Road.

Chloe was still quite lethargic, after a hot and yummy porridge lunch, I fed her with one last dose of paracetamol. Immediately after the dose, she hopped into the comfortable bed and fell asleep on her own.  Clarrise was also ready for her afternoon nap. While our Children having their nap, Papa & Mama sneaked out to Peninsular Plaza which is about 15 minutes walk away.

We were back to the hotel after 1 hour, and Chloe and Clarisse were still both asleep. We waited until about 7pm and we took a cab to Hong Kong Island Central to have our dinner at the Yong Kee Restaurant which my FIL pre-booked it three days in advance. We had their Famous Roast Goose and some other Cantonese Dishes.

Then, back to the hotel again and REST.

13th February 2011

Woke up in the late morning, packed our luggage and double checked all our belongings. We checked out at about 12.30 noon and took two cabs to the Airport.

Hehe....last minute shopping at the Airport. Luckily there is a Disney Shop in the Airport. I managed to get some key chains as souvenir and bought a watch, hair accessories & a t-shirt for Chloe & Clarisse.

- THE END -

SIGH~ : Chloe's water bottle leaked and flooded my handbag, my CAMERA & IPHONE are both hospitalized. Hope that they can recover too!!! :(

Baby Clarisse is such a GOOD GIRL!

Today is the last day of CNY holiday for Papa & Mama. So, Papa & Mama went out for a movie date - "what woman wants" by Andy Lau & Gong Li. I had watched the Mel Gibson's version, so no surprise on the story line. BUT, I was so attracted to Gong Li's Classy look, her dress, her earrings, her WATCH. Hehe... Then, I told Papa : I want a Cartier Watch.

Papa ignored me. After the movie, I walked into Evita Peroni, wanted to buy a pair of sunglasses for the upcoming Hong Kong Trip. Then, Papa came to me and said : Why buy Evita Peroni? Buy a better one, I buy

I think Papa was trying to replace my Cartier Watch by a pair of Sunglasses. But he was nice laaaa. At least, he tried to replace it with a TOP BRANDED sunglasses - Roberto Cavalli or a Tom Ford. But, I didn't buy any of them. I feel it is too expensive to buy them in Pavillion. My MIL got her pair of Tom Ford for RM600.00 in London while Pavillion is actually selling @ RM 2K. Hmm...I am not in the hurry anyway. The Hong Kong Trip will not be affected with or without a pair of sunglasses.

Hehehe....why is Baby Clarisse a good girl ? And how is the sunglasses story related ??

Papa was carrying Baby Clarisse while Mama was talking to Papa about Gong Li's classy look. It reminded me of the watch. Then I told Papa : Don't buy me the sunglasses, buy me the Cartier Watch.

The moment I finished that sentence, Baby Clarisse burst out laughing out of sudden. Papa & Mama was surprised, and Mama repeated : Papa buy me a Cartier Watch.

And immediately Baby Clarisse giggled again!!!!

Message To Papa:

Dear Hubby,

It is time for you to save up some money because Baby Clarisse wants you to buy Mama a Cartier Watch to reward Mama for bringing our family so much joys and happiness.

Love,
Your beloved Wife

Gong Xi Gong Xi 2011

This year, I have two lovely princess with me to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2011. Just like last year, Four of us in the Family together with the maid packed up on the CNY eve to have a sleepover at BIL's place @ KD.

CNY SLEEP OVER

Chloe and my maid slept in the study room next to our room, while Papa, Mama & Baby Clarisse slept in the master bedroom. The moment, we arrived KD home, Chloe spotted the playground equipped with slides, swings & seesaw. We arrived there at about 7pm, since it is not dark yet, so Papa & Mama brought Chloe to the playground for a while. She had so much fun that she actually remember the playground until today and keep on asking Mama to bring her to playground for slides again. She even remembered the song that I sing to her while she was playing seesaw. :)

We stayed there for two nights and then we are back to Titiwangsa home.

CNY DONATION

This year, Papa & Mama had made a donation of a sum of RYQQ.JJ to Amitabha Old Folks Home @ Happy Garden & House of Angels @ OUG. Our plan was to bring Chloe and Clarisse to make donation but it did not go as planned because they were too tired for the past three days. Furthermore, Papa & Mama had too many groceries to move out from the car, imagine a CRV filled up with all groceries, there is no way that we can take another passenger. Anyway, I will bring them next year when they are older.

The donation was split into few parts :-
1. Gift Pack
2. Groceries
3. Ang Pows
4. Cash Donation

However, we realized that it is most logical and straightforward to give out cash as they will know how to spend on their needs instead of buying biscuits, milos, coffee, instant noodles which I saw all piled up at Amitabha Centre. Apparently, they are a lot of generous people around giving out biscuits, peanuts, milos, milks etc etc which the person in charge to us that many old folks are not able to chew, many of them are on soft diet. So, it became useless to Amitabha Centre. However, he said they will not waste all these food. They will transfer to other centre like the orphanages & others which needs all these food. Sometimes, it is very contradicting to do such donation. Buy groceries, but it might be suitable to them. Give out Cash Donation, there is always a doubt whether these cash is utilized properly to support the needy people or not. But then, my intention and duty delivered.

To be honest, before I decide on the above two centres, I googled and read some blogs about it. Many of the centres are all supported by politicians, and most of them in KL / Selangor are quite well equipped and supported. I feel the same too, because I saw a BIG LCD TV at Angel House, and these kids are watching "live to dance" while we are visiting them. But they are brilliant kids, I saw all those medals displayed in the cabinet. I really hope the continuous support by the community will bring them further to excel their life to support themselves and repay back to the society one day.

CNY FOOD

Maybe Andrew is not around, so mum did not stock up much of the CNY goodies. We are not really junk lovers like my brother, further to that we are very very very very WEIGHT CONSCIOUS. However, I still cannot resist the deep fried sesame seaweed munchie. It is so delicious. It is so sinful to finish the whole container myself in one night. Eeeewwww...it is so irresistible. Weight control comes later, goodies come FIRST. Yum Yum.

As usual, CNY food outside is always bad. The best dinner I had is the LAP MEI FAN. Simple and Nice. Yummy!
