Big C's first Ballet Performance

It is such special feeling that is inexpressible via words when I watch my Big C presenting her very first ballet performance before my eyes. Oh dear, my girl has turned into a pretty young lady, no longer a baby who needs to be cradled in my weak arms. I know there is a long way to go but I really really hope that I can freeze this moment forever, and enjoy the partially young pretty with partially baby-still moment, before she wings her way in seek of her glorious & exciting future. Tears began to well in my eyes for such touching scene, can't wait for her next performance, I thought.

I wish I had my PROPER camera with me to capture her biggest smile in her face on the concert day. HOW could I not have my camera? Simply because I was told we were not allowed to carry camera into the hall! I was given a chance to shoot during her full dress rehearsal day, BUT the moment is completely differences and irreplaceable.

I teared because I saw my baby putting up her 100% effort into her first performance, she remembered every single things that we told her - "NOT TO LOOK AT YOUR FRIENDS AT THE BACK", "GIVE YOUR BIG SMILE", "DON'T LOOK DOWN AT YOUR FEET", "LOOK AT THE AUDIENCES" - she achieved it marvelously with NO FLAWS (I dont' care, to me it's "flawless" - it's called the prerogative of a mother - LOL!).

Baby, your big smile on stage reflecting your utmost confidence, shining like a star! Baby, MaMa loves you very very much and looking forwards to many more great performances of yours. Well Done! Muakssss.

In fact, my little baby C was also excited while we were on our way to the concert. She actually thought she was taking part. Yeah, my bad! I thought she couldn't follow instruction and I did not register her for the performance. What an absurd thought I had! My baby C not just followed instruction perfectly, she could also perform. I felt so sad when she said to me : MaMa, Later, when Little C dance and finish, MaMa claps, ok? - Geez. You have no idea how my heart sunk rock bottom when I heard this BECAUSE I know she is not going to be on stage! She joined the practice in the class and she could do it together with Jie Jie at home. I am absolutely, positively, undoubtedly agree that she will be a star like her Jie Jie if she was given a chance on stage.

My Little Baby, you're already a shining star even when you are not on stage. MaMa loves your heaps! and can't wait for your very first performance on stage to experience another sensational moment. Muakssss....

Curtsy

I really love Ms. Toh, Cs' Ballet Teacher!  She is a mother herself, that's why she truly understand how we parents want to know what 's happening in the class. She always let the curtain opened out and left a clear view for anxious parents to see the whole 45 minutes progress of the class.  She even arranged a curtsy session at the end of the class with the door opened, little ballerinas learn to curtsy facing the parents. Lovely!

Happy Ballerinas & Happy Parents.

Horray to Ms. Toh!

Ballet Class

Ballerinas are ready for their Ballet Class

Any reason to resist this beautiful young lady?

The Princess' Signature Pose

Ballet Class commences gracefully

Ballet Pose No. 5. Look at my princesses with their lazy arms. :P

Ms. Toh said : Point, Point, Point!

This is actually a very rare occasion whereby parents get to view the process of the lesson. The glass door is shaded with a lace curtain as you can see in the photos, and we only get to see shadows of these young ballerinas hopping in the class. :P This is my first time viewing the whole process of the class PLUS hearing Ms. Toh shouting "Clarisse, behind your JieJie" "Clarisse, follow JieJie" "Clarisse, No, No, No... Behind your JieJie" opps... I hope Ms. Toh can cope with this little girl. Clarisse tends to get very excited especially when the music played, she would start to hop and jump and run OUT of her designated line.

Ballet Class

A While ago, MaMa found a Ah Yi's Ballet Conert's VCD. MaMa played it for Chloe & Clarisse, and they love it so much. Since then, Chloe told MaMa that she wants to be like Ah Yi and Ballerina Angelina. Haha...Then, MaMa promised Chloe to send her for Ballet Classes.

At that time, "Jean Gan" would take her because to attend baby ballet must be aged 3-years and above. Finally, she turned 3 few months back but she fall sick frequently and she just started schooling, so I didn't want to stress her out too much.

One day, Chloe was watching Ballerina Angelina again and she spinned just like a pirouette and said, " MaMa, Look. Chloe is like Ah Yi, like Ballerina Angelina." I guess there is no more excuse for MaMa to delay further. Immediately, I checked out the Schedule with Jean Gan and there she goes at the Ballet Class learning the real pirouette (errr....Soon???!!!). My girl is no longer a BABY baby. Hahaha...She is my BIG baby now!
