This is my third visit to the Indonesian Embassy, and it's still as crowded as always.
We woke up 6am this morning. We means Novi & Myself.
I woke up early so that I can help out to prepare my girls' lunch. I prepared Cauliflower Chicken Porridge in the mini slow cooker, it's easy, just dump all the ingredient into the slow cooker, and ta da...by noon it is ready to serve. In fact, I love the texture of the Porridge cooked using slow cooker. It is smoother and tastier, somehow.
By the time we finished our morning task, that's it, get my girls ready for school, it was already 8am. My plan was to leave home by 7.30am. *sigh* We ended up leaving home at 8.15am.
The Indonesian Embassy is not too far away from home, with a little traffic, we managed to arrived there by 8.30am.
Documents needed for Indonesian Passport Renewal :
1. Foreign Maid Protector Insurance - 3 copies.
- which you can obtain it from the Post Office or the Parking Lot next to the Indonesian Embassy. There are people waiting to "assist" you. Once you get the Insurance which cost RM75, proceed straight to the Embassy. Unless you don't mind paying for the Photocopy cost of RM1 per copy. The Photocopy service inside the Embassy is FOC. But, my suggestion is to avoid the rowdy queue, just try to get all these done before you go to the Embassy.
2. 3 copies of Employer's I/C
3. Since Novi is not under my name, I got to prepare 3 copies of my I/C and 3 copies of my Marriage Cert.
4. 3 copies of Contract of Employments - which you will be collected from the Embassy
5. 1 Blue Form - oppsie.... I don't know what form is it - it is like Bio-Data Form for the applicant.
Once you got all these documents ready, the applicant should proceed to the take a photo for the passport which is also free. Don't try to bring your own photo to escape the queue, they don't accept it. So, no choice, QUEUE!
If you need the photocopy service, it is available for free. Just the queue and the crowd...hmm...try to avoid them if you can.
Then? Wait for your number to be called lor.
Those counters start operation at 9am sharp. Our Number was 2031, and two counters were serving this particular category, Domestic Maid. We got our turn at about 10.30am. The procedure was easy and swift, no conversation exchanged. We handed those documents, and the operator stapled here stapled there to ensure all 3 sets of documents are in accordance. Then, RM18 is collected for the Passport Renewal.
Then, we were told to keep the queue number and wait for our number to be called again. Today is our lucky day, it was not a long wait for the next calling. By 11am, we got everything done, except for the collection of Passport, which we were told to wait for another half an hour or so.
The distribution of Passport will starts at 11am officially for ALL parties. We waited for about 45 mins, and Novi collected her Passport.
Ta Da...RM 18 for a Renewal & 4 Hours from the initial procedure until the collection passport - PLUS - while Novi was waiting for her Passport, I went to buy Lunch for Novi & my Grandma.
:P WHAT A GOOD DAY!
I hope the rest of the day remain as GOOD or EVEN BETTER. I shall share with you after a visit to the specialist later. I AM NOT PREGNANT! Stay tuned!
