Hello SIAM!!!

Papa & Mama are in Bangkok right now. We missed our girls so much while having a great time shopping in Bangkok.

Bangkok is really a shopping heaven, from very economical stuffs to International branded stuffs.

I was told by my friend and brother that 4 days 3 nights for Bangkok is way too much, they both agreed that I should only do a 3 days 2 nights trip in Bangkok. NO! I don't agree at all. This is my third day here and time is still not enough! I didn't manage to conquer all the MAJOR shopping malls. Geezzz... They are SO BIG, One Day is not enough for One Mall.

The first day, we arrived airport @ 1.30pm as scheduled. Then, We took the airport link to Phaya Thai for 45baht each, then 7we took the BTS for 70baht from Phaya Thai to Chong Nosi where Sofitel located. From Chong Nosi Station to Sofitel Silom is about 10 mins walks. We upgraded our room to enjoy the breakfast, tea time & happy hour. Haha...after we made the upgrade, then only we both regreted it. Their food and beverages are GOOD but we realised that we actually spent most of our time OUT OF THE HOTEL. But anyway, Papa and I were both happy enough that to manage to grab some good drinks at the Club Lounge. We had in total so far - 2 Oranges Juice, 1 Guave Juice, 1 Ice-Chocolate, 1 Singha Beer, 2 Asahi, 1 Ice Capucinno, 1 Sofitel Dream (Sofitel Special Cocktail - Rum, Lemon Juice, Sprite & Blue (dunno what).. haha~~ :P ) Not bad la. Don't ask me for the price of upgrade. It is irrelevant now because we are having fun now. :P

The second day in Bangkok, I can proudly tell I conquered Platinum Mall @ Pratunam. It is a wholesale Mall, Every shop that you go, You have to buy 2 to 3 pcs to enjoy the wholesale price. But, to be honest, It is a GIMMICK! The Whole sales price is only 20 ~ 30 baht difference. Because of that you have to force yourself to get more from their range. Luckily, we are allowed to mix different items. Things there are such a bargain, it didn't take me long to decide to purchase or not. It ranges from 150baht to 300baht, the better quality one goes up to 700~1000baht. Accessories there are darn cheap, you are actually looking at 40 ~ 100 baht. WOW! Anyway, this is a place that I will come again for my next trip. I must say, Papa is a good husband THIS TIME. He accompanied Mama the whole day, and got stucked in Platinum Mall for NOTHING but to be Mama's special porter. Thank you (you) so much la. Muakzzz...

Initial plan was to shop in Platinum Mall & then hop to Centre World.***Sigh***** We didn't manage to do so because we spent the whole day at the Platinum Mall alone. Then, we had to rush back to hotel to park our shopping and then meet up with my ILs for dinner. We had our dinner at Som Boon Seafood Restaurant. It is famous for its Fried Chilli Crabs, Garlic Steamed Prawn, Steam Seabass with Garlic, Chilli & Lime, grilled fresh seafood, Tom Yam. Papa highly recommended dinner @ Som Boon. My thought is this place is so so. Well, good but not fantastic. The Fried Chilli Crabs is different but not Fantastic, acceptable but not really my favourite. Price there is reasonable compared to KL Price. We had 1 fried Mix Vege, 1 Fried Curry Crab, 1 grilled cockles, 1 steam seabass, 1 steam prawn, 1 Tom Yam, 3 Large Singha and cost us 1800baht (4 of us in total).

Today is our third day. After breakfast, we headed straight to Chit Lom Mall because Papa wanted to get his G-Star & Hello Kitty merchandizes. Lucky Papa, there are old stocks on sales and G-Star which cost 8900 ~ 10000 baht and they are cost down to 1999 ~ 3500 baht. Papa was crazy and spend almost two hours there, could not resist the bargain.

Mama spend most of the time at Hello Kitty section, Lui Luis are lucky. We managed to get some pjs and some clothings, bags...ALL HELLO KITTY. I am becoming Hello Kitty Freak!!! Oh No!!!!

Now, Mama & Papa are both in the lounge waiting for the right time for dinner. Papa is still thinking whether to go back Som Boon or Baan Krang Nam ... Haha...

Yeah...Mama is going home to see my princesses tomorrow. At the same time, *sigh* not enough time for shopping. :(

Times up! Dinner Time.
