A Big Big Lapse

A little about MaMa before MaMa proceeds with Cs long-overdued updates.

Yes. MaMa had left the blog cobwebbed for the whole of April 2013. Here comes my defense. Sometimes, I wonder, so much of excuses, and to whom should I defend against my sluggishness? Pleading for Cs' understanding? Nah.... I think I am just OVERLY-VERBOSE, super LONG-WINDED to hit a words gain. Hahahaha......! I am just being very DEFENSIVE!

April has been a lightning month, so many events took place, so many activities for the girls, so much of self-emotional challenges, so much works squeezed in the limited time frame. All these seem to course into a more contented Me.

April is a busy month at work, not a chance to switch to my blogging site for a simple update. Honestly, it's not really a snap to put up an update. Well, to JUST type in the content, it usually takes up at least 1/2hour, I can never have a uninterrupted time to blog, I usually have to stop in between so that I could switched back to working mode to deal with the current issues, will only be back to the writing once I have gotten the job settled or designated to others. The most frustrating moment is when the blog has a little twitch of emotional content.

There is no need to explain more on my job - tenders, quotations, proposals. That's my job.

Many activities, yeah! Fun, Exciting, Feeling-Good Activities. The girls and I had been to Singapore to attend Baby Julian's Fullmoon Party, and the girls had a great times playing with Fei Fei AGAIN. It's been an exciting month for the girls too, since we have stopped Shichida, I have finally gotten the chance to throw the girls into the pool. STOPPED! I shall elaborate more in my next post.

Myself. Yes. I have picked up reading again. Somehow, I REdiscovered my long-lost reading habit. I was pacing my way through the books, a few pages a night, which is quite a pleasure. With "The Girl From Ipanema" to jazz up my night a little, a truly pleasant moment to have in the night while the girls are soundly asleep next to me.

I started with Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic and Baby, it was an easy fun read. In fact, I thought it was a really good book to start, the literature style of book might not even kick off my reading. Well, well, well. After which is the Elizabeth Noble's Between a mother and her child. Wow! The Wow-factor came in when I actually teared while reading it. Personally, I reckon that the story should not have ended with a parted family. The author is being too realistic!!! I know not all loves and marriages can sustain into a beautiful ending. I said NOT ALL, I didn't say NONE! LoL! But come on, this is a novel! I need more loving ending!!!

Then I went on with the Amazon's BEST SELLING books. The trilogy of Fifty Shades by E.L.James. Thanks to a good friend of mine, lured me into the book by telling me that one could be sexually aroused by reading the book! Wow, upon hearing it, I thought, what a good reading experience. Hahaha.. HUM SUP book I called it, INITIALLY. Grey is the first book, an introduction of the main characters in the book, a little mysterious background of Grey's behaviour, lots of erotic sex scene. However, it gets a little BORING towards the end, TOO MUCH sex going on. The second book reveals more how Grey develops his exotic behaviour, and the love story begins in book 2. The Third book ends with the HAPPY ENDING which i like. Two love birds madly in love with each other, inseparable, building a family together LAVISHLY. I would say, something to read, but not exceptionally good to my taste.

Another a good friend of mine recommended me to read Quiet by Susan Cain. Before I can finish the book, I am already very very very confused with the characteristic of introverts & extroverts. Interesting book but it takes a little patients, too much terminology and famous icons for me to digest. So I decided to put a halt TEMPORARILY, and bought a new book The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. I am at Page 27 after one week! Hahaha... there is a noticeable slowing down pattern, due to Cupcakes Wars, Sugar Domes & AOD. :P

Jazz is back into my life again. I find jazz exceptionally soothing and motivating at the same time. Motivating me to believe in hopes, motivating me to find ME! Karen Mok's New Jazz Release just came in the right time! I have yet to explore the whole album. The Bubbly Buble(i)'s new ablum To be loved is just the right album for my travel to school & work every morning. Great! The Best of Janet Seidel is the new addition for the night. Hmm Hmm~~~ So tranquilizing & certainly a good stress therapy.

It's been an emotionally challenging month for me. The current MR is the contradiction of my ideal MR. I pictured it in the perfectionist's way that I thought I was so blessed to be able to achieve it at a point of time. Unfortunately, MR is like human, every changing is at its pace & destiny. Some to a better, some to a worse, some choose to keep up in-denial of the changes, whichever it is, sentiment will always be a mixtures of joys & sorrows to colourise our human nature's of greed for excitement. Where am I now? Inner soul asked. I have no answer. I am still fighting, maybe, I am sure I will get an answer in just a matter of time. Fighting for ideal MR, fighting for TLC, fighting for happiness, fighting with ME for ME!

Overall, I would say this Big Big Lapse is a good Lapse in good course. Changes in ME are taking place gradually to a better ME.

KLPAC Preschooler Drama Class

Completed the 10 hours course by Teacher Kimmy

KLPAC offers a Preschooler's Drama Class (Age 3-4) @ RM 250.00/10 Weeks.

Big C was in the Preschooler Class because she is not 5 yet.

What was my intention to send Big C for such Drama class?

I wanted more exposure for her to build her confidence level. She is talking really soft and lack of confidence most of the time, worse still you will get the OCCASIONAL refusal to greet. It's indeed not so our culture NOT TO GREET, and she is always excused especially from her beloved Mah Mah & Yeh Yeh! "Never mind la, Never mind la, she's not in the mood. It's ok!"

How did the course help her? Nothing. Big C being her very special self, still very passive in the class. Most of the times, she is not following the class and she stayed put at where she stood and OBSERVED with her eyes only. While her peers were enjoying running around the classroom, making thunder noises. She was always one of the few that stood still and look.

I asked her every week after her one-hour class, her responses were always positive and she loved to go back to the class week after week. When I told her that we were to stop going to the class since it seems unexciting to her. Also, I find Teacher Kimmy is not paying much attention to those passive students, all the attention are focused on those active students who can follow instructions well. Those few passive little ones tend to be neglected most of the time. However, I don't blame Teacher Kimmy. The fact is the center accepts too many students for one-hour class. There are 15-20 students and how could the Teacher guide everyone especially little ones at this age where lots of patience and times required.

Sadly, I have signed up for the 2nd term because Big C said to MaMa that she wants to come back to the class again. Big C always take a longer time to warm up, I hope to see some changes in her in 2nd term.

Looking forwards to it.

A very productive trip to Singapore

It was undoubtedly a well planned trip to Singapore for the Family, children & Myself. A little tiring but it is all worth it, in fact, I don't mind to do it again!

20th April 2013

6am
Everyone was getting ready to depart from home for a 4 hour road trip to Singapore for Baby Julian's Fullmoon bash on Sunday. The girls were exceptionally excited as they were looking forwards to meet Fei Fei & Baby Julian again.

10:30am
We arrived Singapore Day's Hotel. We did not notify the hotel of the early arrival, and thus they were not able to give us a room. After making a fuss over the counter, BeBe was helpful enough to get me ONE room for us.

11:30am
Checked in and freshening up the girls.

12:30noon
Arrived Tanglin Mall!!!!! Tanglin Mall for the Coffee!!! Again! and of course Lunch. Aunty Kristin & Uncle Dan were there too, the girls had so much fun talking to Uncle Dan about Disney Princesses. Oh, Uncle Dan is a fan of Prince Phillips, Sleeping Beauty's prince charming.

 Finally, the girls MET again!!
Girls are usually shy, three of them needed time to warm up. FeiFei was hiding behind Mommy, and my girls were greeting softly. After their tummy got filled up with food, they started to "snatch" a book (FeiFei's) from each other. Not sure if it's a good start, but at least they started to interact. They are all afterall very nice girls, eventually they resorted it by "SHARING"!

Hand in hand happily shopping in Tanglin Mall.

2:30pm - After lunch, Aunty Elaine sent us to another mall for an indoor play. Hmm.. I complained so much about KL's entrance fees, wait till you come to Singapore, then you will know! The gym is reasonable sized, enough for the kids to play and definitely enough space for 3 mini parties which actually took place when we checked into the Jungle Gym. KL's play gyms are slightly bigger for a cheaper price. It was so crowded but surprisingly still manageable, unlike KL, somehow it is usually a bit rowdy when it gets crowded. Weird! It must be the parents' attitudes. :P Hey, I am not Pro Singaporean, nor degrading KLite, I am just speaking by the matter of fact. Maybe it was just the crowd at the time of my visit? I should not stereotype? I don't know! It is just my very own personal view.

4:00pm - Time for the children to get back for a nap. We were back to the hotel.
This little girl got up the moment she was dropped to the hotel's mattress. She wanted her Milk in a cup, and sipping away happily and so proud of herself for not using her Milk Bottle. Hahahaha...So cute!

7pm - My mom brought the girls along to visit Baby Julian and have home-cooked dinner at Ah Gu's place, while, MaMa & PaPa went out for a JUST-ADULT dinner at one of the Italian Restaurant in Holland Village. Don't remember the Restaurant Name, and I am not going to google it because it was OK for its price! (Well, again! Singapore Ma!) It's REALLY good to be TOGETHER again, three of us. It's been a long long long long time.

Photo taken by iphone in the night, this is the best shot we could get.
BUT STILL, we all look darn GOOD! :P

The story did not end here. Hahahaha... While Dan was trying to flag us a cab, my phone rang!!! I don't usually receive calls anymore! ESPECIALLY NOT in the midnight. It was 12:30am already, if it rang, it must be from home! or my mom! It was my mom, and she called and told us that Little C vomited three times. Geezz...the last thing I want for the night! It was a really FULL DAY for me, with this incident happening in the night, noone is expecting to SLEEP well. We took a cab back to hotel, and inquired from the driver for the nearest emergency hospital/clinic.

Apparently, the K.K. Women & Children Emergency care is 10 minutes away by car. So, we went up to my mom's room and checked on both girls. Big C was totally in her slumberland, while Little C was looking weak & sleepy. We registered ourself in K.K.Emergency Care, You will be amazed by the crowd. We were getting a little impatient, and Little C told us that she wanted to go back to her sleep. We were there with her for almost an hour, she did not purge or any sign of uncomfortable. I was quite sure Little C had a minor food poisoning. We decided to pull out and get back to the hotel. BUT, the procedure is you will be able to get a refund and permission to leave only if the nurse confirmed that you are fit to leave. Yes, we have to pay upon registration before consultation/advise.

So, a nurse checked on Little C's temperature, alright! then checked on Little C's oxygen level. The normal reading should be 95 and Little C was on 93-94, and the doctor refused to release us, not to mentioned the refund. The doctor told us that she can't release us because the child is not fit! So, the doctor sent us to another room to use the nebulizer to increase Little C's oxygen level. *sigh* We were all getting a little impatient plus Little C refused to put on the nebulizer, and we went off without informing anyone. :P

We arrived back to hotel, put Little C down to the bed. Little C was exhausted, in less than 5 minutes, Little C dozed off. Quickily, I had a shower and hopped onto the bed to join Little C until the next morning 9am.

What a long long day. But I don't mind catching up with friends part, I love children's meeting up to play part too!!!!!!!! Let's do it more often.
